GAMEPLAY: SURVIVE THE LABORATORY'S DAY-NIGHT CYCLE

In Last Light, daytime exploration offers chances to collect coins, discover keycards, and investigate abandoned laboratory rooms. To start a new round, you need to choose a difficulty from Easy, Normal, and Hard. Color-coded cards hidden inside research desks unlock new sections across seven dangerous zombie floors. You can follow the question mark icons to define missing light on an item or something to interact with. Besides, stairs and elevators connect underground basements with upper research areas, bringing you closer to the surface.

Electricity powers doors, lights, and elevators, making careful grid management essential for survival. Overloaded systems trigger alarms and immediate zombie breaches until basement switches restore power. Midnight in Last Light also brings aggressive mutant waves, turning quiet exploration into desperate defense. Then, coins from defeated mutants and laboratory containers fund character upgrades, weapon improvements, and defensive structures.
