In Super Mario Bros., you play the part of Mario, an Italian plumber who gets through the Mushroom Kingdom to save Princess Toadstool. To win the game, Mario must survive the forces of the antagonist Bowser and climb the flagpole at the end of each level.

Guide to Play

You are going through the Mushroom Kingdom while avoiding Bowser's evil forces and attempting to save Princess Toadstool. To win the game, Mario must climb the flagpole at the end of each level. The game requires collecting coins that are scattered around. Additionally, there are special bricks with question marks that reveal additional coins and other special items when you hit them. If there is enough time, you must smash other bricks since they can hold rare items or coins. Regular Marion becomes Super Mario after eating a mushroom, doubling in size, and gaining the power to destroy bricks above him. But be careful—even if he returns to his normal form when hit in this state, he won't perish.

Controls

• Use W, A, S, D keys or arrows [↑ → ↓ ←] to move Mario
• To jump higher, hold the button
• Use Shift/CTRL to Fire/Sprint
• P - pause
• M - mute
